Rebates are applied directly to the installation cost, so the savings are immediate!

Program Details

The Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program is available to Ameren Illinois customers who install approved energy efficient equipment in their homes.

The program will run from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026 or until funds run out.
The installed equipment needs to meet the program requirements.
Qualifying heat pump installations are eligible for an Ameren rebate valuing $1,350-5,400 for homes and up to $25,000 for businesses.
The installing contractor must purchase the unit from a participating Instant Incentives distributor, such as Enertech.
Heat pumps equipped with a hot water generating desuperheater are eligible for an additional $500 rebate for residential customers.
There is a limit of two heat pumps per residential customer and a $25,000 total for commercial customers.

Who Is Eligible?

Residential

Must be an Ameren Illinois electric customer.
The installed heat pump(s) must be ENERGY STAR® certified.
There is a two heat pump per customer limit.

Commercial

Must be an Ameren Illinois electric customer.
Must be installing new equipment that meets the incentive requirements.
Must be installing the equipment in a non-residential facility.
The estimated project completion date is on or before December 31, 2026.
The project must be pre-approved.
