Commercial Geothermal US Tax Credit

U.S. Federal Tax Credit

There is a federal tax credit available for commercial geothermal heat pump installations up to 30%*.
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, adopted in July 2025, allows for a 6-30%* tax credit for costs associated with commercial geothermal heat pumps, as noted in section 48 of the Internal Revenue Code.

* Meeting certain criteria determines the tax credit value.

The 30% residential tax credit can still be claimed for units installed by December 31, 2025.
Enertech manufactures geothermal heat pumps, which fall under Section 25D: Residential Clean Energy Credit (RCEC) Part I. QMI codes are not required to apply for the Section 25D 30% Residential Clean Energy Credit .

Additional US Incentives

Canadian Incentives

There are numerous provincial and local incentives for energy efficient products is available in Canada. A list of incentives from provincial/territorial governments, major Canadian municipalities, and major electric and gas utilities is available at the Natural Resources Canada website.
