Computer Engineer
Enertech Global, LLC. Founded in 1996 in Greenville, IL, Enertech is a leading manufacturer and distributor of ground source heat pumps for geothermal HVAC applications and air source heat pumps for hydronic and ducted forced-air HVAC applications. Enertech also provides design services and distributes solar PV products. Enertech’s corporate headquarters is located in Greenville, IL with manufacturing in Greenville, IL and Mitchell, SD.

This is an excellent career opportunity with a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 per year. Enertech’s comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, a 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering; degrees in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields will also be considered.
- 0–5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- General understanding of communication interfaces and protocols, including Ethernet, RS-485, and Modbus.
- Familiarity with hardware and software development tools.
- Experience with abstraction-oriented programming in languages such as C and C++.
- Experience with Linux-based systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git, is a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop HVAC controls firmware and support its implementation on controls hardware.
- Define system requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Benchmark competitive products and technologies to guide product improvements.
- Develop, oversee, and validate testing procedures for controls systems.
- Participate in the design and review of in-house control boards and related hardware.
- Produce and maintain documentation, including drawings, state diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Program and integrate both in-house and commercial off-the-shelf controllers with packaged HVAC equipment.
- Remain informed about industry standards and actively participate in relevant professional organizations.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in the HVAC industry.
- Support and adhere to the company’s Management System Policy and Objectives for all ISO Management Systems (QMS, OHSM, and EMS).
- Contribute to the continual improvement of all ISO Management Systems (QMS, OHSM, and EMS).
