Qualifications

• Predictable and reliable attendance required, dependable, responsible, punctual. Does not abuse break and/or lunch times or use excessive leave.

• Good organizational skills with attention to detail and quality to complete necessary paperwork.

• Understanding of customer timeframes and preferred methods and materials needed in order to complete projects.

• Work well with others and as a team to meet customer demands.

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs., pass pre-employment physical (including pulmonary lung test) & drug screen.

• Must pay attention to detail and have good quality spraying techniques.

• Must be accurate, meticulous, and get things done in a timely manner.

• Must follow all safety requirements related to Spray Booth area, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

• May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, & high levels of paint.

• Must be able to wear protective equipment, including self-contained breathing system, safety glasses, spray suit.

• Must be able to continuously stand indoors and walk on a repetitive basis for a majority of the shift (67%+ of the day).

• Grip with a force using both hands to package the product to complete spray projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for following all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and Quality procedures set forth by the company.
• Keeping up with the pace of the line to meet customer demands, orders, and line & safety stock.
• Spraying techniques similar to those used in auto body shops.
• Inspects products for quality purposes relating to the final paint job, specifically checking for runs, snags, & unpainted areas.
• Maintain clean & organized workstation, scrape the floor of booth, clean off coil holder, clean spray gun, stock supplies.
• Responsible for spraying/foaming project items to the specifications of the job, wrap & prep the coils and coat the coils.
• Responsible for understanding and maintaining spray products & chemicals used.
• Follows procedures to maintain all tools, equipment, including spray booth, spray gun, hoist, pallet jack, air chisel, etc.
• Adheres to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal, empty waste bucket, change filters and plastic in the booth.
• Adheres to all Safety related Programs, OSHA regulations, Respiratory Protection Program, PPE, ISO, and participates in meetings.
• Spraying/foaming in a manufacturing facility that conforms to all industry & site related standards & best practices.
• Standard paint, resins or special paints are used and some mixing of paints may be required.
